The most accessible ice climbing formation (and the one that is utilized during Ice Fest) is called “The Curtains”. It is located off Sand Point Road. Other popular ice climbing formations are Munising Falls and various formations off the Lakeshore Trail.

AuTrain Beach is located about 8 miles west of Munising at the yellow flashing light in AuTrain. It is a popular roadside beach with AuTrain River running into it.
