Fun Run/Walk 5K
Start your day with a scenic 5K run or walk along the Lake Superior shoreline. It’s perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Be one of the first 300 to sign up and score an official 2025 5K shirt! Prizes are awarded in multiple categories. Sign up now!
Yoga With Bailey
Cool down and reset after your run, or start your day with a free yoga session in the park! This activity is open to all skill levels, no sign-up required. The view? Lake Superior. The vibes? Immaculate.
Flag Raising Ceremony
Join the community in honoring our nation with a patriotic flag-raising ceremony hosted by the American Legion. It’s a moment of reflection to start the day right.
Afternoon
Parade
Don’t miss the downtown Munising parade, complete with floats, music, candy, local businesses, and big small-town energy. Line up early for a good spot! The parade will start at 12:00 pm.
Activities in the Park
After the parade, head back to Bayshore Park for an afternoon packed with fun:

Pet Parade

Water Fights
Grab your swimsuit and prepare to get soaked! The Munising Volunteer Fire Department hosts this epic, family-friendly water battle in the park.
Grease Pole
Think you’ve got what it takes? Try your luck at climbing the infamous grease pole—a slippery, hilarious challenge with bragging rights on the line.
Live Music
Enjoy a full lineup of local and regional talent playing all afternoon and into the evening! From rock and country to crowd favorites, there’s something for everyone. Grab a seat on the lawn, kick back, and soak up the sounds of summer.
As the sun sets, settle in for one of Michigan’s most breathtaking fireworks shows, launched right over Munising Bay. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and favorite people. The show begins at dusk, and trust us: it’s worth the wait. If you’re coming to Bayshore park, it is recommended to be seated by 10:30 pm for the fireworks show.Â
