Munising’s premier trail system is located on the west end of Munising just before the Hillside Party Store (across from the baseball field), within riding distance of downtown. This newly built trailhead includes a bike repair station, picnic area, trail kiosk and pit toilet. Locals dub these trails a mountain bike playground. At the top of the hill you will find a jump trail (Superior Air!), rock armored trail (Rock On!), skills park (Da Play Zone), pump track (Pump U.P. da Jam), and a technical trail (Zach’s Zip) to be expanded and reworked into a drop line – October 2024. Encompassing the bike park is an outer cross-country flow trail (Munising Bay Loop, aka MBL). Linking these epic trails and the parking lot is the 1.5-mile ADA accessible Gateway Loop, about half way down the return to the parking lot an optional singletrack trail (Mountain Goat) with fantastic views of the Bay, will take you along the top of the hill surrounding Munising ending at the football field. Approximately halfway across Mountain Goat trail is an optional downhill flow trail (Flow & Steady). Flow & Steady is 1mile and will bring riders back to the M28 trailhead.
